Take Two

It was really noticable that I made that mistake on the lace.  Much as I like to forgive myself, lace isn’t the time to do it LOL.

So, I ripped the whole thing out, well most of it — started again.  Even started with a new ball and I’ll rip out the rest of the disaster at the end when I need it.

That yarn needs a time out 🙂

While I’m talking about disaster…

I accidentally washed and DRYED the cable and lace socks.  OK — DO NOT do this with gloss or you’ll be wanting to cry like I am.  They are ruined, to be blunt.  I’ve put them away to remember the first pair and I’ll be making them again.  I think next time I’ll do them as knee socks.

  1. They did felt, pretty badly. The pattern doesn’t look as nice at all. I think I could probably give them to my 13 year old. That or keep them. I tend to ‘packrat’ a lot of stuff like them, lol. I figure when I’m 80 the memories will be great 🙂

I think the gloss could have taken the machine wash, the drying killed them.
