Beaumonde-Inspired Hat
I was inspired to create this pattern to match the BEAUTIFUL beaumonde scarf by SmarieK. I give all the credit to her brilliant cables…
Requires;
Heavy worsted weight yarn, 5 mm circular and double pointed needles, stitch marker, tapestry needle.
NOTES:
11 stitch cable = place six stitches on holder and hold to back. K2, p1, k2 and then p1, k2, p1, k2 from cable needle.
Rd = round
k = knit
p = purl
yo = yarn over
Cast on 104 stitches and join into round. Place marker.

Wow
Really like this hat! I followed it here from Ravelry and I think I’ll give it a try. Thanks for sharing this pattern with us.
In your pattern what does drop one (k2, drop one, yo) mean?
Thanks
When I say ‘drop one’, I mean to drop that stitch from the needle, neither knitting nor purling it. It will be a line of stitches that began with a ‘yo’ in the first place and the ‘run’ will only go down to that original yarn over.
Hopefully that’s clearer
If I can help with anything else at all, please ask…
Lisa
You are fantastic!
I just finished Smariek’s amazing scarf, and I’m longing for a hat to match. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the great pattern. I have a question regarding this section: Rds 1 through 6- Work sts as set (knit the knits, purl the purls — PURL the yo’s creating a k2,p1,k2,p1,k2,p1,k2 pattern which is seperated by p2 sections)
I’m not sure about when to p2?
Hi Gretchen
I’m happy you’re enjoying my pattern!
There are eleven (11) stitch sections which are seperated by p2 sections. So, {(k2,p1,k2,p1,k2,p1,k2) p2} is the repeat.
I hope that helps
If you have any other questions, please ask!
Have a great day
Lisa
